2025 Youth Leadership Awards
Program Overview
LYFEhouse Youth Leadership Awards recognize outstanding Alachua County middle or high school students who have a growth mindset and demonstrate leadership at home, at school or in the community.

Winners are now eligible for a $500 grant to explore learning experiences that foster both character and competence. From leadership programs to technical bootcamps, we believe in supporting lifelong learning at every stage.

Community Impact
Recognizes a student making a significant difference in their school, neighborhood, or broader community through service, advocacy, and/or mentorship. This award honors individuals who take initiative to address challenges, uplift others, and create positive change. Whether through activities like volunteering, organizing community projects, mentoring peers, or advocating for social issues, recipients of this award demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, compassion, and commitment to building a better future for those around them.
Next Gen Professional
Honoring a student who demonstrates a great work ethic, self-awareness, and commitment to lifelong learning, the Next Gen Professional award recipient demonstrates some of the many skills needed for future career success. This award recognizes individuals who actively explore their strengths, build professional skills, and take initiative in their personal and career growth. Recipients of this award actively engage in experiences that prepare them for the next stage in their lives.
Youth Excellence
Celebrating a student who has come into their own, demonstrating confidence, self-determination, and a bold commitment to their personal and leadership journey. This award honors individuals who trust in their abilities, take ownership of their growth, and push forward with purpose despite challenges. Whether by setting and achieving ambitious goals, leading with authenticity, or embracing new opportunities with courage, recipients of this award embody the spirit of excellence and self-driven success.
